Happy Birthday Mik Miks

Am here in KL for the weekend.........our cousin, Mikhail's first birthday.

Having a wonderful time with family......relaxing, catching up, laughing, bonding. I love family moments. Aunty said I looked older and stressed. Must be Tetra politics, taken up so much of my precious time.

Am glad my world doesnt revolve around work, work, and work. At the end of the day we're only worth this much to the company, but with LIFE the possibilities are endless. What a great gift from God.

I have a life!
I have God
I have family (heart 'em)
I have Aaron Xavier
I have BEST friends
I have TRUE friends
I have a community

I have values
I have standards
I have conscious
I have wisdom
I have discernment
I have the passion to dance

I have so many things that Money $$$$ CANT buy. Absolutely PRICELESS

Truly blessed indeed.

Anyways I have to get back to the party. Will post up lots of pics later.

I'm dead tired....for some strange reason, I could not sleep last night and was awake till 5am. I worked till about 12.30am...yes on a sunday....pathetic right?

I submitted my resume for an internal position, sure hope I will get it!

Anyways i'm busy purchasing items from ebay. Not really in the mood to blog....LOL!

Unwind..

Love the smell of freshly brewed coffee. (though I'm not a coffee drinker)

For the pass 1 1/2 years, I feel relief after work. It is as if the weight just jumps off my shoulders, and being able to breathe again.

I had a superb time last night during LSS. When we're in God's presence, the moment freezes and all is left is me and Him. Tears streaming down my cheeks, just worshiping, worshiping my King and my friend. Despite of the crazy politics at work, I just praised Him, singing my lungs out to 'All Creation Worships'. The lyrics goes something like this..

You are God, and we praise You
You are Lord, we aclaim You
You are Eternal Father
All creation worship's You
All creation worship's You
Amen.

Beautiful huh?? The song pierced through my heart. All creation worships Him, and here I am worrying about work. I know that God will be my defender...If God is for me, who can be against me?

I really pray that the situation at work will take a 180 degree turn for the better.

I had lunch with some colleagues today, 5 of them. To my amazement, they were venting out their disatisfaction about our managers. They too are unhappy. They too are sick of the place. They too are fed-up.

There's this guy, Calvin Yeoh.....I dont particularly get along with him but as mutual colleagues we're ok. He's like the main guy for Tetra Systems and both L&L adore him. Whatever Calvin says or do, they always agree. If he breaks the rules, L&L are absolutely ok. If we complain bout calvin to L&L, the just listen and wont take action. Take example of the most recent case, Calvin is creating a new template for HLTD and he sent out an FTR (Formal technical review). So we are suppose to review the document, comment, fix the document, send for 2nd FTR then only can there be a rollout. While we were reviewing the doc, he sent a rollout and asked the contractors to apply it. So YV went to raise the issue with small L (mind you, he's our manager) and he just kept quiet. Its blatantly wrong, but small L just kept his mouth shut......is he waiting for the cows to come home??

If they cannot handle situations like this, then dont become managers.

Dictionary.com defines the word Manager as:
man·ag·er
–noun
1. a person who has control or direction of an institution, business, etc., or of a part, division, or phase of it.
2. a person who manages: the manager of our track team.
3. a person who controls and manipulates resources and expenditures, as of a household.
4. British. (formerly) a theatrical producer.

Dont you think its time for them to take charge?? Becoming true managers??

As long as I'm in Box, I will do everything within my means to do things right. (*SMILES*)

This is just the begining.

Heartache Moto

Blogging is sort of theraputic.

Spending some time alone, sipping Green-tea Frap and blogging.

I had 3 tako-tao octopus ball and now a Frap.

Pure Indulgence, to pump up my endorphines.

Tetra Box test is such a joke. 5 out of 13 people came for the meeting. Out of which only 3 spoke and questioned their heart content out. Some commented that they are happy with their performance ratings, so no need to attend the meeting. Strange people. This is not even a venting out meeting. Its a meeting to help us understand about the goals we will make for 2008.

Somebody please knock me in the head! Am I dreaming?? Are their brains functioning?? Or are they brain dead?

I so want a career change. Events? Advertising? Crafting? Dance teacher? Fitness Instructor??

What a nasty feeling.

.............................................................................

An hour later...

- Almost finishing my Green-tea frap

- Surfing and purchasing scrapbook materials online

- Feeling much much lighter

- Chatting with a dear friend, SuLin...all the way from London. I love her!

- Endorphines are working, its flowing thru....yee ha.

Have to pack up real soon. SWYF anniversary mass tonight. I'm begining to enjoy moments like these on my own. I have so little time for myself. Forever rushing from place to place.

toodles-

Series of Unfortunate Events

A never ending torture...
Indeed a true gung hole....
A place where only the weak and 'yes man' survives...
....that's the place I call Work!

Situation has worsen.

People are unhappy.

...but who is voicing out?? Only a handful. In their eyes I'm a trouble maker. 'For what? May I ask?' Just because I speak the truth?

There is no doubt that my managers are not managing people. Only God knows what are they managing. Machine perhaps?

An HR consultant told me that there are 2 things you need to survive a job.

1. Your love for the job
2. A good manager

No.2 can work without No.1 but No.1 cannot work without No.2. Bottom line we need good managers. Sometimes what we need is a lil care and concern, now isn't that fair trade? Treat us good and we stay.

Who in their right frame of mind would not want to work in a good environment? Well I will repeat again, Tetra Box Test is a gung hole. The whole organization under Boon is a bunch of crap. Empty promises over and over again. Boon, please make yourself useful...help your employee's.

Nauseating managers like Loo, Goh Wah who is power crazy. In retrospect, Goh Wah is quite good at bribing his people, he plays his cards well, knows how to angkat our boss...see, now he's managing LTD and MOL. Did I mentioned that he's racist too?? Awww.....(3 cheers for the man)

Unlike Loo who basically has the whole team dislike him. Yes people talk behind. The boss who does not acknowledge us when we walk pass.....we're invisible. Oh and he has his girlfriend in our team whom he does 1/2 of her job task and AMAZINGLY gets a high rating (not to mentioned a big fat PROMOTION too). If we do not do the things that she asked, Loo will question and fire us. Hey I'm not making up stories, ask the team. One guy even told me he saw Loo creating reports for his girlfriend's MR3.2.4 project. How interesting is that?? Boy am I tempted to do an official complain.

And we have this other guy Loh who doesnt have back bone at all.....cant make decisions, no stands, nothing!....absolutely ZILCH! He listens doumbly to Loo. I pity him.

The sight of them really detest me.

How do I get myself to work everyday? It's only by the Grace of God. Yes I sometimes have deep anger towards them but God always soften my heart and in the end I feel sorry and sad.

Sorry because they only view perspective from one angle, but in actual fact if perspectives can be viewed from other angles, only then can they obtain the complete picture.

Sad because, in this selfish journey of theirs, they have hurt plenty.

I pray for God's grace and mercy to take control over our meeting tomorrow. Holy Spirit, guide us!

Scrapping my latest hobby...

I actually have a blog just for scrapping - www.scrappernista.blogspot.com (pretty empty for now)

My bed, my bed, why have you forsaken me?

Terribly tired.
I need my sleep.
When oh when?
Didnt manage to have proper rest last night. I could see flashes of events even when I tried to sleep, guess theres too many things going on.
Haih! Ballet exam is stressing me out. I keep forgetting my steps. Darn! My teacher is getting pissed off.....as much as I hate to admit it, think I deserve it.
Woke up at 8am to practice for 1/2 hour before getting ready for work. Its a lot of hard work. Every single piece of exercise is done with a pointe feet, mine is bad...turn out sucks too. Mentally its killing me too.
Cant even skip my workout class today coz I need to build stamina for the exam, after which there's mass @ CHS, 8pm (i'm singing). And then immediately after mass, I have Easter practice ......gosh, I so want my bed right now.
Was literally sleeping off in training just now.
*Yawn*

Passion or Hobby?

I cant pinpoint if scrapbooking is just a hobby or passion??

I do know that after all these years dancing is still my passion. I absolutely adore stepping into dance studios, being lost in time trying to perfect a movement. A sucker for techniques....OooOo, love the feeling of my muscles stretching to its core, tearing it bit by bit. Sorry for sounding like a sadist but once a technique is nailed, we soar higher than an eagle. Sensational!!! .....Lol.....

Coming back to scrapbooking. I have always had an eye for crafting. The natural ability to color coordinate tastefully. My style is more of bohemian/retro feel.

I did my first layout last sunday for a "love x 5" challenge by smidapaper.

Oh btw, our ever first Scrapbook store in Penang http://www.smidapaper.com/ @ Burma road. Plenty of stuff in the shop plus classes...be sure to visit the store. Prices are a lil steep....but either than that, its a perfect cosy shop. I love it.
So how do you like my first layout? I know its rather simple. But hey its my first...and i took 2 hours to get this done.

Lonely Journey

The road to standing up for the truth is LONELY.......extreamly.

If only people can stand up for the right thing then the brave will not be outcast. Give it a try...

There are many kinds of people:

1. People who live in their own shell and could care less if the person beside them dies.

2. People who will rush to the side of those that would benefit them better.
[ I call them bodek-kers / Kiss asses (mind my language)]

3. People who want to please EVERYBODY, not wanting to take sides, not wanting to DEFEND the truth. [ I call them 'no brainer']

4. People who see there's an issue, talk-complain talk-complain-gossip about it, get upset, and when its time to do something, they chicken out!! [ They truly deserve a SLAP]

5. People who suffers to speak the truth, to do the right thing even if it cost them, they understand that 'Action Speaks LOUDER than words'. Doing something even if it meant being called a 'trouble maker', categorized as an outcast.

If you fall into the category of No.5...I have one word to say to you..... 'R E S P E C T'. My advice, keep doing the right thing, God will reward you. Earthly rewards is nothing compared to Heavenly rewards.

xoxo

2007 Holiday Part 1

-Cable car to Sentosa-

2007 Holiday

I Love holidays.....
I love travelling...

We were suppose to travel to Bangkok but due to some complications, we took a route change to Singapore. My 4th time there but its still a holiday.

Instead of spending RM800 per pax on air ticket, we kept the money for shopping and took a snoozer bus down. The seats were very comfortable, all attached with personal TV....only RM80 down and $55 back.

I was awake almost the whole night, trying to fall asleep, trying to ignore Aaron's thundering snore. Arrived 7.30am, super tired but excited.

So we took a cab to the Hotel @ Belmoral Rd. Check in our luggage and according to the cab driver, Orchard road is within walking distance, gosh did we get cheated, we walked for 45 mins, tired and hungry till we reached Sommerset station......Aaron needed to refuel desperately, so coffee club was our choice.

-Tired and without food, bad combination huh?-

- Aaron's breakfast set -

- Lovely place -

- Our cosy budget hotel -

Jazz Fest 2

-Early morning @ Parkroyal beach

- Trying to blend in-

- The ornament was bigger than my face -

- Bollywood -

- Harmonizing workshop with the 'Idea of North'

- Bangkok Connection (Props to the group)-

- Our very Malaysian 'Louis Armstrong', product of St. Xaviers -

- My favorite 'Idea of North' performing-

- Huge fan of Naomi, an alto singer from 'Idea of North'-

We were blessed to have a free hotel stay @ parkroyal, man did we have a blast. the beds were extreamly comfortable, thinking of it makes my eyes droopy again.

This was our amazing view from the balcony. Ahhh.....so serene.

Picture of my thunder butt on the comfy bed...ahhhhhhh
